Kathryn is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She went on to  receive her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from the University of Texas at Tyler. She has been involved in community service through her church and universities, such as tutoring and mentoring young children and adults. Currently, Kathryn is under direct supervision of Gary Gabbard, M.A., L.P.C. during her counseling internship.

While at The University of Texas at Tyler, Kathryn worked at Smith County Juvenile Detention Center with at risk youths and their families.  While there, she consulted with professionals on cases, observed court proceedings, did individual counseling, and co-led substance abuse groups. Through these experiences, she was able to expand her learning and strengthen other skills such as team work and implementing short term crisis intervention strategies.

Kathryn is excited of what lies ahead in her career as a counselor. She believes that every moment is a gift and to be thankful for each and every second.
