Passionately Ever After
Which is it? “I can’t!” or “I won’t!” They sound similar, but there is so much difference. One says you do not have the capability or power to do something. The latter says you could choose to do something, but you are electing not to. Passionate people recognize their power and boundaries to make healthy choices. They do not limit themselves. Consider the following statements and decide if the issue is one of lack or one of choice.
- I can’t hold my breath for 90 minutes. Lack or choice?
- I can’t outrun a car on an uncrowded freeway. Lack or choice?
- I can’t free jump over the building. Lack or choice?
- I can’t play the piano. Lack or choice?
- I can’t find a job. Lack or choice?
- I can’t write a book. Lack or choice?
- I can’t take a vacation. Lack or choice?
- I can’t let go of my spouse’s affair. Lack or choice?
- I can’t divorce my spouse. Lack or choice?
- I can’t be happy in my marriage. Lack or choice?
Life is about choices. Do not place limits on yourself. It is okay not to want to forgive someone, but recognize you do have the ability. You simply are choosing not to. It is not a question of power. Passionate people maximize their choices. Maximize yours and live life passionately ever after.
